On February, 8th, 2020 within the framework of the 83rd season of work of the Nikolaev regional philharmonic society the concert of chamber ensemble «Ars Nova» took place. The peculiarity of the concert of our favourite ensemble was that it was held within the framework of the “Battuta Magica” Conducting Art Festival (“The magic of tact” from Italian). Therefore, the orchestra was conducted by a young but already laureate of international competitions, a student of the National Music Academy of Ukraine. PI Tchaikovsky, Alexey Surkis. The concert was also attended by a soloist – Dmitry Kirsov (trumpet) from Kharkiv. The concert program featured works by J. Sibelius, B. Britten, and B.G. Neruda, E. Stankovich and G.T. Canvas. Conducted the concert, as always meaningful, Honored Artist of Ukraine Tamara Piven. On the whole, the concert impressed with the charmingly acupuncture accurate performance of the orchestra of the musical program and the surprisingly musical-illustrative skill of the young conductor.
