Catherine Panna: “Music is my soul”!

October 7, 2018, in the Central City Library. M.L. Kropivnitsky hosted the presentation of the book “Music is my soul” by the famous Nikolaev historian, local historian Natalya Alexandrovna Kukhar-Onyshko. The book is dedicated to a talented girl-pianist, our countrywoman, Catherine Panne, winner of many prestigious international awards, who tragically died in the summer of 1999. She had a great creative future, but her earthly journey was interrupted when Catherine was only 20 years old.
The book was published in the series “Legendary Names” by Irina Gudym Publishing House. A significant section in the book is devoted to the construction of the Church of St. Catherine, a unique project which was developed by the father of the pianist, Alexey Panna, and he began the construction of this temple. The book contains unique materials from the family archive. The presentation included Ekaterina Panna’s live recordings and a film about her.
