Within the framework of the 82nd season of the Mykolayiv Regional Philharmonic Society on October 14, 2018, on the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks, on the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks, on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, a concert of the pianist Michele Fazio from Italy – the winner of numerous Italian and international competitions – took place in the Lutheran Church. The program of the concert was performed by F. Chopin, L. Beethoven, O. Scriabin, V. Kosenko, S. Bortkevich.
Michele Fazio was born in 1995 in the city of Bari, in the south of Italy, where he received musical education at the Conservatory of N. Pichini. Back in 2001, in my book “The City of St. Nicholas (Ancient History),” I first reminded Mykolaiv that our city was named after St. Nicholas, whose relics were stored in St. Nicholas Church in Bari on May 9, 1092. So, for us, Mykolayiv, Michele Fazio is nothing more than an envoy of St. Nicholas. It was because of this that the concert took place with a full one and one breath, and the execution of complex musical works by Michele Fazio was nothing more than God’s providence. Listen to the works of Michel Fazio by Chopin – for pianists, it’s always a test of their skill. The young pianist is already looking like a Maestro, because he perfectly owns pauses, which are supersaturated works of F. Chopin, and which are actually Voice of God.
